About me…
Welcome! I’m April, a dedicated music teacher with a lifelong passion for music and over 25 years of teaching experience.
My journey began at age 3 with piano lessons and has evolved into a fulfilling career filled with diverse musical experiences. From competing in the Kiwanis Music Festival as a child to directing musical productions like Beauty and the Beast Jr. and Into the Woods Jr., music has always been my a huge part of my life.
I studied music at Rocky Mountain College in Calgary, where I performed extensively under the guidance of Henric Idestrom. This background has shaped my approach to teaching, blending extensive performance experience with a deep commitment to student growth.
At my studio, I offer both in-person and online lessons designed to inspire and engage students of all ages. My new online toolkit is crafted to support music teachers with ready-to-use resources and the tools they need to build a vault of materials to assist them in their daily studio lives and my online music courses are built to provide homeschooling families with flexible, self-paced learning options.
So whether you are a music teacher or homeschool family, my resources & courses are built with you in mind! Crafted to make music education accessible and enjoyable, whether you're looking to enhance your teaching toolkit or introduce music into your home curriculum.
My goal is to instill a genuine love for music in students, boost their confidence, and equip them with the skills needed to pursue their musical passions. I also aim to support music teachers in creating a comprehensive vault of materials to enhance and complete their music studios.
